Welcome to the online version of the Book of Mutations - a work dedicated to the study of Liber Trigrammaton and the English Qabalah.
Liber Trigrammaton, aka Liber XXVII, is one of the Holy Books of Thelema, penned by Aleister Crowley in 1907 under the influence of a discarnate intelligence named Aiwass. This short book describes the interaction of three cosmic forces; the Tao, the Yang, and the Yin, which creates a scheme of 27 categories that can encompass much of the esoteric wisdom of both the Eastern and Western mystery traditions.
The author, R. L. Gillis, has been a student of metaphysics for almost three decades, and has spent the past 15 years developing a qabalah on the basis of Liber Trigrammaton and the new paradigm of Base 3 mathematics. Some of the results of this research can be explored within these pages, which touch upon English gematria, divination, magic squares, number mysticism, sacred geometry, the I Ching and the Tree of Life. Unless otherwise cited, all of the material is the original work of the author.
It is my sincere hope that you find many things of interest on this site, and even more importantly, that you attain to the Great Work, the Summum Bonum - True Wisdom and Perfect Happiness.
The Veils of the Tao
The Tao formulated the One.
The One exhaled the Two.
The Two were parents of the Three.
The Three were parents of all things.
All things pass from Obscurity to Manifestation,
inspired harmoniously by the Breath of the Void.
